We will be instructing young people between the ages of 13 and 20 on proper safe handling and the fundamentals of firearm safety and marksmanship, using single shot bolt action .22 rifles and progressing to AR-15 semi-automatic rifles. While this clinic is primarily for juniors, adults may also take advantage of this event. All persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
This portion of the program will consist of demonstrations, instruction, and dry-fire practice indoors, with a lunch break before moving to the Outdoor Range.
LUNCH: 12:00 - 12:30
RANGE SESSION: 12:30 - 15:30
This part of the day will consist of live-fire practice, with emphasis on proper position, the use of a sling — which is mandatory for official CMP competition — and familiarization with the CMP course of fire.
PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING
- Lunch
- rifle (with sling if possible)
- 60 rds of ammunition for the rifle
- mat for position drills
- eye and ear protection

Seats will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis, determined by when your application is received.
